FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I clean my bottle?
We recommend hand washing with soap and water only. It is recommended to dry the inside of your bottle with a towel immediately after use to avoid tarnishing.
My bottle is tarnished. Can I still use it?
Real copper naturally patinas, especially with exposure to moisture. Tarnish is not rust, and it is completely removable. We recommend using a copper polish or natural cleaning solution intended for copper and a soft cloth to safely remove the tarnish followed by a hand wash with soap and water.
Is copper safe to drink water out of?
Copper itself is safe to drink out of and is known to boast many health benefits. While uncommon, if you have hypersensitivity to any metals, it is recommended you check for allergies to copper prior to use. Do not drink out of a tarnished bottle, any patina should be removed before resuming use and proper care should be used to maintain the bottle.
Can I use hot liquids in my bottle?
AYUR bottle is not recommended for use with hot liquids and your bottle should not be exposed to extremely hot temperatures or left in the sun for a prolonged period of time.
Is the handle of the cap removable?
Yes, the handle on the bottle twist cap is removable but should be handled with care as to not bend it out of place. We recommend not twisting the bottle by the handle, and using the cap itself to twist open and closed for daily use. The bottle can be carried by the handle.
What is the difference between single and double wall?
Our double wall bottles make up a heavier, more luxurious bottle that helps reduce sweating on the outside from very cold water.
